‘Orion the Rig’

A home-on-wheels has always been the answer to my call for freedom. I spent four years traveling in my grandma’s 20-year-old van that I built out to pursue my passion for outdoor adventures and photography; The setup was basic, but it got the job done. Without Grandma Betty gifting me her old van, which I affectionately named “Betty the Grey Wolf”  (“Betty” for short), I never would have gotten to where I am now, so I am forever thankful for her generosity and support!

I ultimately hosted a contest giving away my van and $6,000 worth of gear from my sponsors to pay it forward and help give someone else the opportunity to chase their dreams like my grandma graciously gave me.

When I set out to find my next rig, I knew I wanted something capable of getting me to even more remote places while being extremely reliable and comfortable. This truck and camper combo has been an absolute dream! Originally built by the owner of Mainline Overland as a show vehicle and his personal rig, everything was designed and built using the highest quality parts possible. Once I bought the vehicle, I became an ambassador for Four Wheel Campers, and images of this rig have graced just about every outdoor website and magazine out there. Over the last four years, I’ve continued to upgrade the camper and the truck, emphasizing quality, durability, functionality, and comfort. Orion has proven, time and time again, to be the perfect setup to pursue my passions in life while hopefully inspiring a few others to do the same.
